Dr. Antonio Massa obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Salerno, Italy. From October 1996-October 1999: he worked in the company Montefibre S.p.A as Young Researcher. He did applied research on Polyester Polymers. Since January 2004 he is currently working at University of Salerno as Assistant Professor (Researcher). His research interests are in the field of the Development of new Methodologies, Organocatalysis, in Synthesis of Heterocyclic Compounds and in the evaluation of their Biological Activity. In 2008 he was awarded of the Fulbright Research Scholarship. He spent 6 months at the Scripps Research Institute, San Diego - California, as Visiting Investigator in the laboratory of Prof. Carlos F. Barbas III. In 2013 he got the qualification for Associate Professorship. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biology, University of Salerno, Italy. He is in editorial advisory board of Asymmetric Catalysis, De Gruyter Open and Mediterranean Journal of Chemistry. He has been Guest Editor for Current Organic Chemistry Edited by Bentham. Dr. Antonio Massa is leading several research projects and is author of more than 60 publications most of them as corresponding author.
